To ensure the best learning environment, NZLC may place 16-17-year-old students in either the Young Learner or Adult course, as appropriate. Transfers may be made without prior notice. Young learner rates apply.

Why study the Young Learner English + Activities Programme at NZLC?
NZLC Auckland is accredited by NZQA for young learners between 13 and 17 years and during our summer and winter months, we welcome students from all over the world to join this fun and exciting programme which incorporates a morning of interactive English lessons taught by friendly, fun teachers and an afternoon of cultural and sightseeing activities around Auckland.

Lesson A:
The first class approach is communicative and learners are encouraged to use and practise the language as much as possible. The teaching methods are skills-based (reading, writing, listening and speaking) with vocabulary and grammar structures introduced around interesting and relevant themes to suit and motivate young learners.
Afternoon Class:
Explore Auckland with fun, cultural and sightseeing activities! Through kayaking in beautiful ocean, sailing in Auckland’s viaduct harbour, meet cute sheep, the iconic kiwi bird and more! Experience life of a typical New Zealand teenager and share such memorable moments with friends from the same class.

Sample timetable. Activities subject to change due to weather conditions. Minimum 1 week enrolment, maximum 5 weeks. Students wishing to study more than 5 weeks can combine the English + Activities programme with a full-time Young Learner General English / High school Preparation course. NZLC Auckland is accredited by NZQA for young learners between 14 and 17 years and we welcome students from all over the world.
