The NZLC CITYLINK programme is designed for students who want to study in both Auckland and Wellington NZLC campuses and get the full Kiwi experience! NZLC offers a FREE FLIGHT for students who enroll for a minimum of 12 weeks and at least 4 weeks at each school.
Auckland is the biggest city in NZ with a population of 1.4 million and is known as ‘The City of Sails’ for its beautiful harbor and the surrounding beaches and islands.
Wellington is New Zealand’s capital city and is famous for its creative art, music and of course Lord of the Rings! Wellington sits on the bottom of the North Island close to all the top touristic locations and is about an hour from Auckland by air.
Both NZLC schools are located just a short walk from the city centres and are close to the best cafes, shops, bars and local tourist attractions.
Meet CITYLINK student Dover Agassi from Brazil!
Dover started by studying for 6 weeks in NZLC Wellington in November, 2014 and then moved to NZLC Auckland for a further 8 weeks of study in January, 2015. He has also spent his free time traveling extensively around New Zealand. We had a chat to Dover about his CITYLINK experience.
What do you think is the biggest difference between the cities of Auckland and Wellington?
"Auckland is larger than Wellington and has more leisure activities, such as beaches, concerts and sport tournaments. Wellington has excellent museums and art galleries".
What’s the biggest difference between NZLC Auckland and NZLC Wellington?
How were your homestay experiences?
"In Wellington I stayed with a middle-aged couple and their cat and in Auckland I stayed with an elderly couple and their dog. I had two good homestay experiences. Both of them were friendly and caring".
"The CITYLINK programme is for people who want to enlarge their experience of living in NZ and get a rounded experience.
I recommend starting in Wellington because it’s smaller so you can become accustomed to New Zealand life more easily, then when you are ready you can move to the bigger city Auckland. Everything in New Zealand is beautiful but for me, the most beautiful place was Milford Sound".
