NZ Deaf Aotearoa New Zealand
13 to 19 May 2013 is New Zealand Sign Language Week to celebrate one of NZ’s official languages.
Deaf Aotearoa New Zealand focuses on promoting the awareness of, access to and advancement of New Zealand Sign Language – to help strengthen the rights of deaf people and give them the confidence to be an active part of society.
We are proud to support New Zealand Sign Language Week and we have incorporated the following activities into our curriculum. All of the classes are FREE!
Tuesday (14 May 2013, 3:30-4:30)
Conversation Class with introduction to New Zealand Sign Language Week
Thursday (16 May 2013, 3:30-4:30)
A NZSL tutor will come to NZLC Wellington to teach some introductory sign language.
